Introduction

Damien Lock is an educational leader who has spent his career working in institutions of higher learning. He gained his industry experience primarily in the media sector where he worked as an interactive experience designer, and sound designer for the cable media industry, including at Disney Cable Television. He has been involved in various projects, exhibitions, and festivals in Singapore and Australia including on the organising committee of 14th International Symposium on Electronic Art [ISEA2008]. He has taught at Ngee Ann Polytechnic (School of Film and Media Studies), Lasalle College for the Arts (Faculty of Media Arts), Nanyang Technological University (School of Art, Design and Media), and Republic Polytechnic (School of Technology for Arts, Media and Design). He received his doctorate in Creative Arts at the University of Wollongong (Australia) in 2014 and a graduate certificate in education (adult education) in 2024, also from the University of Wollongong. He keeps fit cycling, running and swimming.
